just on the topic of car keys. i've got a feeling that some brand get the keys from an external company cause my dad's holden clubsport (pontiac g8 in the US and Vauxhall VXR8 in EU) has an identical flip key to Audi, ford, lexus and VERY similar to VW keys.
You’re probably right. Sucks that special cars don’t get special keys. In the end it’s a small detail that really doesn’t matter much but if you’re spending $1 million on a car, you probably would want a nicer key than a VW.
